A Day in the Life of Pippin
Brent took off work today to run a ton of electrical wire into various places of the kitchen. Our electrician neighbor planned out enough lighting and plugs to make our kitchen look like Christmas 24-7-365. As you can see Pippin really wasn't much of a helper. I had told him to take over my job of handing off necessary tools and yelling back/forth between the kitchen and underneath the house. I think he's going to be fired.
Pippin, sitting on the deck waiting for unsuspecting runners/walkers to go by that he can race:
Napping on the deck after stalking runners/walkers:
Stalking more runners/walkers:
More napping/sunning:
Watching kids going to school:
And guarding the perimeters of the yard (he's waaay in the back of the 2nd one):
It's a tough life being our dog. It's a good thing he's resting up for Phog's visit next weekend!!! I've been trying to teach him Phog's name by asking him if he's excited about Phog coming to see him. He knows I'm trying to tell him something exciting, but he's not quite sure what it is. Regardless I think it's going to be the cutest RBF meetup in history. Those pups are going to WEAR EACH OTHER OUT. Too bad we can't push them in jogging strollers together at the Country Music Half. How cute would THAT be?????
The plan for tomorrow: plumbing! Brent's dad is coming to help and we're going to move a few plumbing lines around and also re-lo the washer/dryer to a different room. And when we're done with the plumbing then we'll hopefully finish running the rest of the electrical. We should be done.....sometime in mid 2008. We've been to Home Depot EVERY day this week and one day we each went to separate ones! Geez.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Is it just me, or would we all like to switch lives with Pippin, who even has a social calendar planned for him?!
Good luck with plumbing! Of all the Home Depot vices, plumbing is the toughest to me. I always try to have extra plumbers tape and lots of towels!
That Pippin's got it GOOOOOOD!
Hahhahaaa...love the stroller idea :)
But yes...Phog is going to sleep the entire car ride to TN so he can run around like a psycho with Pips!
Mid-2008?! Wow! Definite plans for the house.
Nice dog photos. Pippin is welcome to help with electrical work in my house anytime, because he is nowhere near lazy as my dog.
...and you're still working on the house. Wow. And, you're making great progress. The boys wanted me to say hi to Pippin! Take care!!
Oh, Victoria wants to get that green bean recipe from you - those beans you made on Christmas Eve. We all still rave about you guys...your spiral staircase, the beans and Pippin!! Cheers.
It will be cute if Pippin can reach under the fence and paw the runners or walkers ;)
Give them a frieght for sure.
Pippin in a stroller would be too cute!
Pippin has a good life I would say. I think Pippin in a stroller for the half would be fun - do it!
Looks like you are busy working away. I would definitely rather be on Pipppen's schedule. Good luck with all the remodeling.
You have a SPIRAL STAIRCASE? So so so jealous.
By the way, my mother is in love with your house. I pointed it out when we drove past the other day. She thinks it's uber cute.
