This email MADE MY DAY!
I've mentioned my crack team of coworkers before, so you know what to expect....sort of. Check out the email sent out by our receptionist this afternoon:

Is that not the most hilarious thing?? It turns out she has no idea who Justin Guarini is. There's this old lady (prob upper 60's) who is OBSESSED with him. She has stickers, posters, buttons, etc. It's very, very strange. She had mailed him a Valentine's day card and forgot to put a stamp on it, and she had our company address as the return address. Our receptionist quickly learned from the 200+ snickers across the office that her question was pretty stinkin' hilarious. Crazy old lady reclaimed her fan letter and added a stamp. I think she needs to mail it overnight for it to get there on time now!! I laughed to myself for at least an hour.
Happy Valentines day to all of you, and especially Justin Guarini!

Funny stuff Rachel! Nice job on your 5K - let's not forget you just did a marathon!!
That's hilarious. I always thought he looked like Sideshow Bob!
lmao...
personally, i'm more of a bo bice fan...
OMG that is too friggin hilarious!! Did you see that Justin-obsessed woman today...was she embarrassed? poor thing...but still really funny! :)
OMG he does look like sideshoe Bob.
SO funny!
I forgot to tell you: Happy Valentine's Day.
That is AWESOME.
We're having a company retreat in two weeks, and one of the more humorous presentations will feature the "hall of shame" of all-company e-mails. This would definitely make the list!
Classic!
Happy V-Day!
I TOTALLY know where you are coming from with that post. We had a secretary when I worked in Oak Ridge that was about that swift... it was scary!
That is too funny.
DH & I were wondering what ever happened to that kid. Glad to know that he still has a fan club that is going strong. LOL.

omg that is HILARIOUS!!!!!!
and scary!
My grandparents like him. I guess he does a lot of the classic songs, no? I'm kind of clueless about him, I admit. I'm more into 80's (LOOOOVE VH1 Classic), and college radio (but I need new speakers on my computer, so that's on hold).
I've never been much into writing fan mail. I did write a letter once to Kim Zmeskal, a gymnast I liked, but never received a response, and just kind of gave that up.
Happy V-day.
Great to be able to laugh in this day!! Happy Valentine's Day!
Running with a blizard? Would I do that someday? Sounds so challenging!
D'oh!
Too funny.
Happy V Day to you too!
And, I am loathe to admit, I too, have (had) NO IDEA who justin guarini is!
(Is that a good, or a bad thing?? :)) This is why I have to read blogs. And, I guess, I have to watch more TV!! I'm always the last to know.
sigh.
That is so funny. I wondered what happened to him. Kelly Clarkson was so much better than he was. Hee, hee.
Rachel,
Happy Valentines Day (belated) to you and Brent! Hope you had a great one.
You Tennessee folks are just wacky! Justin Guarini? Can you believe he even competed against Since-you-been-gone Clarkson?
My funny story is that I was working PT for a library system in his home county during the 1st Idol season. I had a good friend who thought he was hot - huh? to me but lots did then--so I looked up his home address from his library card. Of course, I wouldn't break library privacy laws-- but I could have sold it for sure!
That's hysterical!!! I haven't heard that dude's name in ages....ha ha :)
I admit that I had to check the link out to find out who he was, but that is funny that the lady would send a letter in the first place. My wife would smack me if I started sending letters to celebrity women.
Stumbled into your blog, and pleasantly surprised to find another Nashville running blogger. You're gutsier that I to run that Fangtastic 5K last weekend. See you at the races.

Love it! That is great-totally sounds like something from "The Office"...
Classic story! Reminds me of "The Office" tv show also.
I love it!
That is hysterical. I must admit I had never heard of Justin what's-his-name before. He is now inextricably linked to moony eyed 60 year old ladies. I'm sure he'd be thrilled!
ps - I need your playlists over here
