Slow and Steady
Hey everyone! I really need to get into the habit of updating more often, but between baby and well...does there need to be anything else? Anyway, time is short and there's always something to do, and generally blogging comes pretty much dead last. Can you blame me though??
Lilli, aka Miniature Brent, is doing great. She's two months old now and growing like crazy. She's doing new and cute things every day, even managing to overlook the nasty shots today at her pediatrician and throw a few smiles her way! She sleeps through the night (have I mentioned she's wonderful) and is a good baby most of the time, as long as she's fed and had her naps!
So, running! Thanks to my C-section it's been a slower road back than I would have liked. Around 6 weeks I started having some issues with my stitches, so that delayed running more. I finally started running about a week ago today, and have gradually been adding back more miles and time each day. I'm up to 3.25 miles now (continuous), at a snail's pace, but considering one week ago I ran a mile and felt proud I'll take it! This week I ran Mon, Tues and Wed. I didn't get to today because of her appointment this morning. I've been doing toning exercises at night, so hopefully more things in my closet will start fitting soon. The scale has been stuck for a couple of weeks now, which doesn't thrill me AT ALL. We're also eating very healthily, so between amping up the exercise and eating perfectly, I'm REALLY hoping to shred the remaining 13 or so pounds I still have before I go back to work in a few weeks.
Happy Running!
