I can't believe I didn't recognize you. I signed up for this insane race after stumbling across your blog about last year's event. It was incredibly difficult especially for a flatlander from Baton Rouge, but the volunteers made a huge difference. So a belated big thank you for your help. And thanks for convincing me to run through your blog. I really enjoyed every miserable mile.
Monkey was my first stand-alone marathon and it set a standard that I'm sure few will meet. A large part of that was due to the volunteers, which were the best I've seen in a race in a long, long time.
